Although I do not condone the treatment meted out to Marion Crawford ,a deal is a deal ,"Crawfie " reneged on the deal .
She put it in writing that she wouldn't write about the Princesses and the Family ,but she did ,and deserved all she got ,but in a way I'm glad she did "spill the beans " !
The Queen Mother wasn't the sweet old lady a lot of people think she was,she could be quite cold ,and was on many an occasion,her mentally retarded sister could have vouched for that ,but more of that later ….

It does not surprise me that the Royal Family did not attend or send a wreath to the funeral of Marion Crawford (Crawfie).When you read between the lines she was given a hard time by the Queen Mother and when Marion wrote a book about the family, well that was the straw that broke the camel's back.Back in 2000 they came across letters from the Royal Family to Marion that did not show them in a good light.She seems to have had a rough ride at the Palace, much the same as Princess Diana did.As for her having an affair with the King, I do not think so.
